St. John the Baptist, Clayton is a 'little gem'. Nestling below the South Downs it contains significant medieval frescoes covering most of the walls. It is well worth a visit and usually open daily. St John is home to a friendly and welcoming congregation whose main service is each Sunday at 11.15am The pattern of services includes those from the Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship. On the other side of the lane is the Church Hall which has a fully equipped kitchen and toilets including disabled toilets It has parking and is next to a children's play park and playing field.
Wheelchair access to both buildings is possible using portable ramps – please let us know in advance if possible.
